Colin's Story
1985
Early Childhood
Colin put on plays and musicals in his backyard, basement, and family home in the Catskills with friends and neighbors. He was always the director, producer, and usually star of the show at just 5 years old.
St. Mary School
Colin had his first solo in the 3rd Grade when he received a standing ovation and his parents realized that he could sing... he was bit by the bug. In 5th Grade, Colin co-wrote and produced "Miracle at the Mall" (loosely based on Miracle on 34th St.) for the whole school. He played Santa.
1999
Colin Meets Rosie
As his 8th Grade Class President at St. Mary's, Colin appeared many times on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." He ended opening up Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure with her and co-hosting the show for a week. He was always OBSESSED with Rosie because of their similarities and for her love of Broadway. He just knew he had to be friends with her.
high school
Freshman and Sophomore year of high school he directed The First Christmas at St. Mary's School with public school CCD kids. Colin was very active in the choral and performing arts program. He also had the opportunity to perform in the the closing night of Les Miserables on Broadway!
2007
College
Colin attended Wagner College in NYC as a Theatre and Speech Performance major. As a student, he worked for a gay family friendly vacation company, R Family Vacations. Colin continuously brought college friends and Broadway stars to Branford, CT to perform with people in the community and raise additional funds for MusiKids. Over $25,000 in scholarships were awarded for music lessons, musical instruments, theatre, and band camps.
Post graduation
Colin worked full time as the Entertainment Coordinator for R Family Vacations. He worked with amazing talent including Gloria Estefan, Cyndi Lauper, Melissa Etheridge, Kathy Griffin, Audra McDonald, and Andrea McArdle. Colin also lended a hand in two other travel companies: The Nickelodeon Family Cruise and The Broadway Cruise.

Colin found himself working back in live TV for 3 seasons, where no day is the same at The Wendy Williams Show. HOW YOU DOIN'?!
​Theatre Producer
Colin worked as an Associate Producer at the Tony and Olivier Award winning Seaview Productions (with Greg Nobile and Jana Shea). Colin assisted with the production of Broadway in Branford at the Owenego to benefit The Legacy Theatre. He also produced Windywoo and Her Naughty Naughty Pets, a family musical, at New York Musical Theatre Festival.
honoring orlando
On June 12th, Colin was deeply effected by the Pulse Club massacre in Orlando. In the days following the tragedy, he convinced town officials to light up Town Hall and Blackstone Library to express Branford's support. On November 12th he produced an official Come Out With Pride comedy event in Orlando on the 5th month anniversary of the shooting.
2017
Colin directed the World Premiere of Her Song, an anti bullying musical, at the historic Ivoryton Playhouse and COLIN SHEEHAN EVENTS IS BORN!
2018
Colin was appointed the Director of the Branford High School Spring Musical, Artistic Director of Tabor Arts Branford and Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Shoreline Theatre Company in partnership with The Branford Parks and Recreation Department.
2019
Colin served as the Chairman of the Branford375 Committee where he produced and hosted many events throughout the community to celebrate this milestone year.
THE PRESENT
Colin still wears many hats as a local arts enthusiast. He currently serves as the full time Arts, Culture & Special Events Coordinator for The Town of Branford, Producer of the Broadway Spotlight Concert Series and Community Arts Coordinator at Legacy Theatre, and Director of The Branford High School Spring Musical.
